Facilitator Notes on OKI Interoperability Meeting
Summary of Agenda
Steve Lucas opened the meeting at 9:00 AM with a short welcome and led round-the-table introductions

Ken Klingenstein joined the meeting after lunch

Summary:
  1. Ed Walker outlined the meeting objectives and reviewed the agenda. He and Jeff Kahn described the study they conducted, and reviewed its findings and recommendations.
  2. Two projects were recommended as context for further work; the CSU Digital Marketplace and the UBC Kuali Student
  3. Four areas were recommended for interoperability projects: Identity Management, Repositories, Workflow, and Grade Reporting (See meeting PowerPoint? on Ithaka wiki)
  4. Gerry Hanley presented an overview of the Digital Marketplace
  5. Jens Haeusser presented an overview of the Kuali Student (See supplementary materials on Ithaka wiki)
  6. Ed Walker facilitated a general discussion of next steps: goals, roles, concerns, and follow up actions on the four project areas using the “Choose a Project” decision matrix from the pre-meeting report. (See pre-meeting report on Ithaka wiki and notes below)
  7. The meeting adjourned at 3:30 PM
